CUARTETO MULENGA (Buenos Aires)
The Cuarteto Mulenga, with its singer Maximiliano Agüero, is one of the most outstanding “dance formations” within the current panorama of Argentine tango. His style recalls that of the great orchestras of the golden age of the 40s and 50s, and adapts perfectly to the dancers, distributing their repertoire in successive and very well selected tango, milonga and waltz “tandas”. At the moment, aside from being recently declared an orchestra of “national cultural interest”, Cuarteto Mulenga is one of the favorite tango bands at the main milongas of Buenos Aires and other localities in Argentina.
This will be their second European tour, which will take them to multiple countries, among them – and for the first time on the occasion of our festival Tangodouro- also to Portugal.
MARIANO OTERO & ALEJANDRA HEREDIA
Originally from Argentina, now living in Madrid, the tango style of Mariano is characterized by creativity, expressiveness and power in dance. Together with Alejandra, whose unique style is based on ballet, modern dance and jazz, they add this special “something” each time they go on stage. For over 10 years they have been working in the most important tango festivals in Europe, having already visited many countries.
They are well-known for their great choreographic creativity. Without a doubt, you’ll be transported on an unforgettable magical journey. Once you have seen them, you will never forget them!
